SkWizZ World Map
Soji of the SkWizZ clan let us know about a cool feature on the SkWizZ clan page. It's a world map where Agers can enter their location and it will be marked with a helmet. It's pretty cool to see the Age players in your area and around the world.
Their site also has the customizable signature images that display your rank, you've no doubt seen those around, and it also appears that they're holding a tournament this weekend. They're a busy group, check out their site!

Blogging Bruce
Ensemble Studios designer Bruce Shelley has updated his blog once again, this time with a warning for would be cheaters in Age of Empires III:
"Our community team is investigating rumors that downloadable software that supposedly allows you to cheat in Age games has a little bonus inside. We are trying to confirm rumors that at least one of these hacking programs places a Trojan on your PC and then steals your account information. The hack gives a losing player a chance to take a losing game and turn it into a win. Apparently enough people are looking for a fraudulent edge that a market exists for this software, but the price might be unexpectedly high."
Don't download programs that promise to allow you to cheat. Chances are you will get yourself banned from online play, or introduce a virus to your computer.

Parfait on Spying
Expert gamer Parfait has put together another VOD on RTS Professional, this time on the value and methods of spying on your opponent. His demo includes two recorded games, including one of iamgrunt, the winner of last year's World Cyber Games championship for Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs.

Mr.Milo's Iroquois Option Strat
Mr.Milo has written up another strategy article, this time using the Iroquois who can field a versatile force. He also includes another voice over demo (VOD) that shows him using this strategy against another player.
The folks at RTS Professional.com have recently added a section for Age of Empires III VODs, if you're looking for more of those to watch and learn from. Currently they are showing expert player Parfait using a German crossbow strategy to deal with a Dutch opponent.

Asian Dynasties Patch 1.01a Released
Patch 1.01a for Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties is now available through the in-game auto updater or from our game updates page. Click "Help and Tools" then click "Update Game" to get the latest version. The patch contains a fix for the French cheap church card exploit.
If you have any mods for Age of Empires III installed, it is recommended that you uninstall them before installing new patches.

French Cheaper Church Card
A bug was discovered in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties following the release of patch 1.01. A French home city card lowers the Church building cost to a negative number, so that a player can receive wood for placing a Church. Exploiting this bug in games is subject to a ban from online play.
We are working on a fix for some bugs, including this one, and we will be releasing a 1.01a patch for The Asian Dynasties, hopefully as soon as next week. Saved and recorded games using the 1.01 patch will not be compatible with the game once it has been updated to 1.01a.
That is the situation at the moment, we'll do our best to keep you updated on an ETA for patch 1.01a as we get closer to having it finalized.
